Anderson Girls Lacrosse is launching its inaugural season in the fall of 2019. Northwest Austin has had one of the most competitive youth level girls lacrosse programs in the area and we are excited to bring this developing talent to Anderson. Our goals are to exhibit good sportsmanship, continue to grow the game of lacrosse, facilitate leadership growth and give back to our community. The mission of the Anderson girls’ varsity lacrosse team is to promote a commitment to hard work and leadership in its female athletes by providing opportunities to develop skills that reach beyond the lacrosse field. The female athletes of the Lady Trojans high school lacrosse program not only will develop playing skills necessary for success in lacrosse, but will be expected to demonstrate excellence, responsibility, and accountability to oneself, and the team, through provided positive experiences in the program. The coaches, and program, will develop and mentor athletes to be excellent student-athlete role models for the Anderson community and beyond.
There are two programs during the year - Fall and Spring Ball. In the fall the team will mainly work on strength training and skill building. Registration for the fall season will open in mid August. Registration for the competitive spring season will begin in November. Learn more about the fall schedule here.
The spring season begins in January and finishes in May. During this period practice will take place roughly 5 times a week with on average one game per week. The spring schedule will be announced following the district scheduling meeting in January.
The Anderson Trojans Girls Lacrosse Program is open to Anderson High School students. High School students in area schools that do no currently have a lacrosse team may also be eligible to play for the Anderson girls team. Sign up here to join our e-mail list.
